Description
An official programme for the World Cup Final between England and West Germany, played at the Empire stadium, Wembley on July 30th 1966. The programme is in near fine condition with just a small crease to the top corner of the back page. Internally, the pages are in very nice condition with no pen marks or writing inset. There were a number of very similar reproductions of the world cup programmes printed in the following years. This programme is totally original, with the following attributes confirming its authenticity. The weight of the programme is 130grams – (on reprints it is between 80-90grams) – the front cover is in chelsea blue – (on reprints it is lilac) – Players No.6 cigarette packet on inside front cover has a two tone grey to it (on the reprints it’s not distinctive) – Cadets packet on back cover is scarlet in colour (on the reprints it is a tangerine colour) Accompanying the world cup final programme is the Jules Rimet official souvenir programme which covers in depth all the teams playing in the tournament over the dates of 11 -30th July, and all the stadiums the games were to be played in. As with the world cup programme, this programme was priced at 2/6. The England final team has been neatly filled in with blue ink, otherwise the programme is free of any other writings.
