Description

HARDBACK – A very good or better book that would be a fine example, save for some foxing to the page blocks, also with light foxing to the front end-paper. The inner text is very clean indeed, free of any previous owner names or inscriptions. Inscribed without dedication to the front end-paper by the late Kenneth Lewis who designed, and is credited in the design of the iconic dust wrapper. Ken Lewis’s printed name is omitted from the rare first issue dust wrapper, due to a printing mistake in the titles production. This title is one of only a handful of Fleming/ Bond titles signed by Mr Lewis in our presence back in 2005. The books black cloth boards are in fine condition with very bright gilt lettering to the spine, also with an un-faded coin motif to the front panel. The dust wrapper is a very good or better example with the Kenneth Lewis blurb found to the lower portion of the front flap, denoting a first edition, second state copy. The dust wrapper is free of any loss or tears, but there is some toning to the rear panel. Correctly priced by the publishers at 10.6d.net to the front and rear flaps. There is no clipping to the bottom corner of the front flap underneath the printed price.
