HARDBACK – A very good book, bound in the publisher’s grey boards with bright gilt lettering to the spine. The boards are in very good condition, free of any bumping to the corners, with just mild pushing to the spine tips. Internally, the pages are clean, with mild off-setting to the front and rear end-papers. The inner text is clean, free of any previous owner names or inscriptions. Signed by the author to the title page. Additionally signed by Sir Tom Courtney to the half title page. Sir Tom played the leading role in the 1962 filming of the book alongside Sir Michael Redgrave. Now regarded as a classic of the British New Wave films. The dust wrapper is also in very good condition with no chipping or loss, but with general soiling, and with a little rubbing to the spine tip. Included with the book is the RECOMMENDED BY THE BOOK SOCIETY brown wrap around band that is very good condition with no loss or tears
