HARDBACK – A very good or better book, bound in the publishers maroon cloth boards with bright gilt lettering present to the spine. Internally, there are two faint tape remnant marks present to the front and rear end papers with a few light foxing spots to the page block. The inner text is very clean indeed with no foxing or finger marks inset. Free of any previous owner names or inscriptions. There is a naval book plate neatly attached to the front paste down, else a lightly read book in nice overall condition. The price clipped dust wrapper is in near fine condition with no loss or tears, and with no fading to the red lettering present to the spine. There is a little light toning to the upper portion of the front panel, above the Patrick O’ Brian lettering. One of the scarcer Aubrey/ Maturin titles to acquire. Seller Inventory # 002097
