HARDBACK – A near fine book, bound in the publisher’s dark red cloth boards with bright gilt lettering to the spine. There is a minor mark to the top centre of the rear panel. Internally, there is the usual toning to the page block, also to the inner text due to the paper stock used in the books production. Free of any previous owner names or inscriptions. There is an overseas edition stamp to the bottom corner of the rear pastedown. The dust wrapper is also in near fine condition with a closed tear to the top corner of the front panel, next to the spine with very shallow chipping to the base of the spine and to the corners of the front and rear flap folds. There is the odd very small closed tear to the extremities. There is a partial overseas edition stamp present to the base of the rear panel. The dust wrapper is very clean indeed with the publisher’s printed price of 10s.6d net present to the base of the front flap. This title may have been destined for the Commonwealth market, but was not price clipped and, or repriced for the Country in question. A very nice example of a title that is notoriously difficult to acquire in collectable condition due to the fragility of the paper stock used in the production of the dust wrapper.
