HARDBACK – A very good book bound in the publisher’s red cloth boards with black lettering and illustration present to the spine and front panel . The boards are clean and tightly bound with the most minor rubbing to the extremities. Internally, there is foxing to the page block that encroaches into a some of the inner pages. more so to the first and last few leaves. Aside from this, the inner text is clean with the odd small mark here and there, free of any previous owner names or inscriptions, and with a bright red top stain. The dust wrapper is in very good condition with very light fading to the spine. There is shallow chipping to the base of the spine, also to the corners of the front and rear flap folds. There is a larger chip to the spine tip that affects most of the Biggles lettering. Overall, a clean dust wrapper that is free of any forms or restoration or touching up. The publisher’s correct printed price of 3/6 is present to the front flap.
