Description
HARDBACK – A near fine or better book bound in the publisher’s black cloth boards with clean silver lettering to the spine and the front panel. The boards are very clean indeed with no pushing to the spine tips or to the corners of the book’s front and rear boards. Internally the pages are very clean and fresh with no toning to the closed page block, and with no foxing or finger marks inset. We would have described the book as a fine copy, but for a small stain to page 231 that shows through to the verso page. Please see one of our pictures. The book is free of any previous owner names or inscriptions, but with the merest hint of offsetting to the end-papers. The dust wrapper is also in near fine or better condition with very minor chipping present to the spine tip, the rest of the dust wrapper is free of any tears, chips or loss and with an incredibly bright spine with absolutely no fading to the red flames and exceedingly scarce thus. There is what looks like a small, faint tape remnant mark (likely caused by an old dust wrapper protector now discarded) to the rear flap , but overall a superb example, seldom found in such lovely overall condition. Correctly priced at 10s.6dnet to both the front and rear flaps. A most attractive book and dust wrapper. Seller Inventory # 002589
