Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. HARDBACK – 4TH EDITION – DECEMBER 1924 – A very good book bound in the publisher’s blue cloth boards that are clean but with a small strip of fading to the upper rear panel. There is light rubbing to the spine tips, also to the corners of the front and rear boards. Internally the inner text is clean with a few sporadic foxing spots to the closed text block. The gilt top-stain is bright and without fading. The inner text is free of any previous owner names or inscriptions. There is light off-setting to the end-papers. Signed by the author to the title page. There is also a very nice hand written poem by A A Milne present to the page opposite the signature. The authors initials are found just below this lovely poem. The book is tightly bound, but with the usual pulling found to the inner hinges. A rather unique book, sadly missing its dust wrapper, although the book would most certainly take one.
