HARDBACK – PUBLISHED BY WILLIAM HEINEMANN IN ASSOCIATION WITH THE BOOK SOCIETY – A near fine book bound in the publisher’s original red cloth boards with gilt lettering to the spine. Internally, the pages are clean with light foxing to the side page block, but with no foxing to the inner text. The red top-stain is bright and without fading. Free of any previous owner names or inscriptions. Signed by the author in his full name to the title page, in a very good or slightly better dust wrapper with shallow chipping to the spine tips, also to the corners of the front and rear flap folds. There is some light soiling to the rear panel of the wrapper, but overall a clean dust wrapper with the publisher’s printed price of 10s.6d net present to the lower front flap.
