HARDBACK – A near fine or better book bound in the publisher’s black cloth boards with un faded gilt lettering to the spine. Internally the page block and inner pages are very clean indeed with no toning or foxing present. The book is free of any previous owner names or inscriptions and has been boldly signed to the front end paper by the late Richard Kiel who played the arch villain Jaws in the movie. There is also a superb original illustration present to the half title page by the artist Bill Botton with his distinctive signature below. The artwork is of the highest quality. This piece of artwork is identical to the bottom right portion of the original dust wrapper. Bill Botton has also inscribed his name to the front paste down. The inscription reads – BILL BOTTON / ARTIST TO JAMES BOND. The dust wrapper is in very good or better condition with rubbing to the extremities, also with a couple of closed tears to the upper front panel. No loss or chipping, with the publisher’s printed price of £3.50 is present to the front flap.
