Description

HARDBACK – A very good or better book bound in the publisher’s green cloth boards with unfaded gilt lettering present to the spine. There is a tiny bump to the bottom front panel, also with light pushing to the spine tips, but shows as a clean example. Internally the closed text block is clean with a hint of toning, but with no foxing present. The inner text is clean and fresh, with a previous owners book plate present to the front paste down. The book has been warmly inscribed by the author to the front end paper. The inscription reads – 4th Dec 72 / Guy and Jill Lysto / If my day with / the hounds tomorrow is / as good as my evening / at fennes, all will be / well and much enjoyed. / Dick Francis. The dust wrapper is in near fine condition. A very clean example with just a touch of fading to the Nerve lettering and the jockeys top present to the spine. These colours have faded to a yellow from its original orange hue. The wrapper is free of any tears or chips but has been neatly price clipped. Seller Inventory # 000169
