HARDBACK – A very good or better book bound in the publisher’s tan cloth boards with clean black lettering to the spine. There is little pushing to the spine tips with a very small bump to the bottom corner of the front board, but the boards are clean and fresh. Internally the closed text block and inner pages are very clean indeed with no foxing or finger marks present within the text. There is a contemporary inscription present to the front end paper, else very nice indeed with Illustrations by C Walter Hodges inset. The price clipped dust wrapper is in very good condition with some very minor chipping to the spine tips and to the corners of the front and rear flap folds. There is some toning to the spine and to the rear panel with a faint water stain present to the upper spine that encroaches to the corner of the rear panel. The Silver Sword, has become a classic, bringing to life the story of four refugee children and their search for their parents in the chaos of Europe immediately after World War II.  Seller Inventory # 002542
