Description
HARDBACK – A very good or better book bound in the publisher’s red cloth boards with black lettering to the spine. The boards are very clean indeed with no fading to the spine, or to the front or rear boards. Internally the pages are very clean and white with just a few foxing spots to the top page block. There is no foxing to the inner text. The dust wrapper is in very good condition with chipping to the spine tips, more so to the base of the spine where there is also a one inch closed tear. There is light soiling to the middle of the spine, but overall the wrapper is a clean example, and a very similar format to the very scarce first edition. The publisher’s printed price of 4s.6d.net is present to the bottom corner of the front flap. A very affordable alternative to the 1936 first edition, that is in a very similar format to the first, but at a fraction of the price.
