Description
HARDBACK – A near fine book bound in the publisher’s salmon boards that are very clean indeed with no fading to the spine, and with no soiling to the front or rear panels. The gilt lettering to the spine and front board are bright and without fading. Internally, the pages are clean and fresh with just a couple of foxing spots to the closed page block. The gilt top-stain is fresh and bright. The inner pages are very clean indeed with a little off-setting to the front and rear end-papers, but with no previous owner names or inscriptions inset. The dust wrapper is in very good or better condition. There are light chips to the spine tips, also to the corners of the front and rear flap fold. There is some toning to the spine, but overall a clean dust wrapper with the publisher’s printed price of 7/6 present to the lower spine. A very nice example, and quite scarce in this condition.
